01. Are You CPR/First Aid/AED Certified?

Yes! I have all of those certifications, as well as: Water Safety Ambassador, Orientation to Swim Lessons, Water Safety, Psychological First Aid, Advanced Childcare Training, NTA Certified Tutor, and have other Medical and Professional Skills.

02. Are you willing to get a background check?

Yes, as long as you are able to pay for the background check, I'm happy to get one. I can also provide the most recent background check if you'd prefer that.

03. The Average Cost of a Childcare Provider in VA is $13.59 per hour*. How do you base your prices?

I base my prices off of my years of experience, certifications, history in working for child-related programs/families,  knowledge of child development, as well as my references and feedback I've recieved from families. I also base it off of the national average of $22.68 an hour for one child (Data Source).

04. Are you available for overnight care?

Yes, I offer overnight care depending on availability. This can include bedtime routines, overnight supervision, and morning preparation.

05. Can we claim an IRS Form 2441 Tax Credit by using your services?

Yes, as long as you are eligible. Read more about Form 2441 here.

06. Do you offer same-day bookings?

I try to accommodate same-day bookings whenever possible, depending on my availability. Reach out directly to check!

07. Can I meet you before booking services?

Absolutely! The first step in my onboarding process is to Reach Out and Set Up an Interview. This gives us an opportunity to discuss your family’s needs and ensure a good fit.

08. Can I access my Family Folder anytime?

Yes, you can access your Family Folder in the Client Portal 24/7. Some sensitive files may require email verification for added security.

09. Can you accommodate special schedules or routines?

Absolutely! I strive to adapt to your family’s specific needs and preferences. Provide details during onboarding or reach out to me as needed.

10. What kind of training do you have to ensure my child’s safety?

I have extensive training in emergency response, childcare best practices, and trauma-informed care. My qualifications include certifications through the Red Cross in Adult/Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, Psychological First Aid, and Water Safety, as well as advanced training in trauma response through the Community Resiliency Model. I’ve also completed RWBSL + EVT Emergency Trainings, equipping me to handle situations like fire alarms, medical concerns, and mental health crises. This combination of certifications and practical experience ensures I can prioritize both physical and emotional safety while providing comprehensive care tailored to your child’s needs.

11. What is your policy on administering medication?

I can administer medication with written instructions and a signed consent form. Please ensure all medications are labeled clearly.

12. How far in advance should I book?

For regular care, I recommend booking at least one to two weeks in advance to ensure availability. For special requests or events, please reach out as early as possible.

13. How do I modify or cancel a booking?

You can modify or cancel bookings by contacting me directly. Please review the cancellation policy for applicable fees.
